We have been made aware that SCS Disposal, LLC dba Griffin Waste in Charlotte, NC has ceased operations. SCS Disposal acquired this operation in November 2019 and continued to use the name Griffin Waste Services. This operation is in no way owned, managed, or operated by Griffin Waste Service Franchising, LLC, which oversees the operations of many franchised locations. SCS Disposal, LLC was advised and issued a notice to discontinue the use of our name and brand. We are very disturbed that our good name has been associated with this operation.
We join with the affected former employees, lenders, vendors, and current customers hoping that resolutions can be found in the coming weeks to address all pending concerns.
We have notified lending institutions that all operations at this location have ceased and that there may be equipment in which they hold an interest spread across hundreds of customer locations in the Charlotte market.
